BBS aluminum alloy wheels: BBS has officially signed a contract in China, the first wheels probably to be produced before the end of 2004

BBS aluminum alloy wheels:BBS Wheels has signed a joint venture contract in China in the presence of high-ranking persons and politicians. By doing so, it has confirmed the association between the two companies announced previously. In future, the leading supplier of high quality light aluminum alloy wheels will manufacture aluminium alloy wheels of BBS quality together with its Chinese associate in the fastest growing car market in the world.

The Chinese associate already began work on the construction of the production site at year end of 2003, so that the erection of the works buildings and infrastructure is already at a very advanced stage. It will probably be possible to begin the production of BBS aluminum alloy wheels in China in the second half of 2004. The first phase of construction will allow for a capacity of 1.5 million aluminum alloy wheels a year. The target is to achieve a capacity of 4.5 million, which would more than double the present output of the BBS group.

At present it is expected that the aluminium works in China, which likewise belong to the joint venture, will begin to manufacture liquid aluminium before the end of this month.
