Mag wheels: We should actually be proud that so many competing
mag wheel manufacturers try to copy our products. After all,
attempting to reproduce one of our mag wheels takes a lot
of work. But the painstaking efforts that go into developing
a BBS wheel for the market are incomparably greater.
It all starts with the extensive styling process, in which
designers and engineers work together to fine-tune the details
of the mag wheels. This is followed by the technical development,
including FEM analysis (computer-simulated stability analysis),
and the many other tests and scientific assessments required
to produce a genuine BBS mag wheel. It goes without saying
that we patent the design of every wheel we produce. But that
doesn't stop imitators around the world from trying to reproduce
our wheels.
And since we don't like to see our competitors profit from
our work, we often have no other recourse but to take the
matter to court.
The following examples show cheap imitations where the mag
wheel manufacturer was ordered by the courts to cease all
production, marketing, and advertising for these "fake"
wheels.
By the same token, it is also prohibited for marketing organizations
to sell the counterfeit wheel mag wheel products that the
above-mentioned courts have declared as illegal.
BBS plans to continue taking legal steps against all counterfeiters
in order to protect the original and eliminate cheap mag wheel
imitations.
