RO_JA Motorsports announced today that Rays Engineering
will be producing a new custom rim wheel for the RO_JA line
– the “R2-5”. The custom rim wheel, which
will be manufactured in Japan by Rays Engineering, made its
debut today at International Auto Salon in Los Angeles. The
R2-5 - which gets its name from RO_JA by Rays, 5-spoke –
will be available through RO_JA Motorsports in June.
The R2-5 is a true two-piece custom
rim wheel with a cast center that has been precision fastened
into a forged barrel. The custom rims will be available in
Mercury Silver and Carbon Black, in 18” and 19”
sizes for the next generation of super tuners, including the
350Z, NSX, S2000, RX7, RX8 and Supra.

a new custom rim wheel for us,” said R.J. de Vera of
RO_JA Motorsports. “Rays’ reputation for quality

certainly enhances the branding we are trying to accomplish.
With such great aftermarket product and a window of opportunity
for production, a collaboration between the two companies
was a natural fit. RO_JA continues to strive to produce, market

industry, and this collaboration with Rays certainly helps
us take a step forward towards that goal.”

The R2-5 is one of five new custom wheels RO_JA Motorsports
will be offering in 2004. The Formula 1, a one-piece forged,
twisted 5-spoke design which has been in prototype form for
several months, is now available, as is the Formula 2, a lightweight
one-piece forged, 7-spoke design. RO_JA is also debuting its
next generation of 5- and 7-spoke designs, the Formula 55
and Formula 57 which will be available this summer.
